Austin Sumrall
A graduate of Ole Miss and the Culinary Institute of America, Austin is a native of McComb, Mississippi, where he grew up celebrating childhood birthdays with a crawfish boil. Crowned “King of American Seafood” during the 2021 Great American Seafood Cook-off in New Orleans, this James Beard Foundation semi-finalist for “Best Chef South” and has appeared in Garden & Gun and Food & Wine magazines and on several TV shows, including the Cooking Channel’s “Southern and Hungry” and Food Network’s “Alex vs America” (where he won the top prize) and “Chopped,” where he scored a second place finish.
